Translators are an indispensable resource in today’s world.
The clock’s ticking down to one of the year’s biggest IT and security events in London. For those who don’t know, InfoSecurity Europe is a huge global meeting place, where exhibitors show off some of their newest and most exciting technologies. And of course, Lingo24 will be there next week!
Many well-known names are attending, including IBM, Barclaycard and Cisco, as well as smaller specialist companies and start-ups. This year’s Market Focus is on Israel, the home of countless developments in the last few years. Highlights will include talks on topics such as secure payments, social media and “hactivism”.
Technological advances are happening at a rapid pace all over the world, and it’s easier than ever for companies to operate across borders. This also means IT and data security need to be tackled on a global scale.
For Lingo24, technology is one of our most important industry sectors. We’re leading the way in developing smart, innovative solutions to make translation easier and simpler. We also have a very wide experience in working with technology companies, translating and localising everything from software to marketing materials.
We caught up with Account Directors Oana Stan and Karina Strobl, who’ll be representing Lingo24 at the event.
Oana says: “This is one of the biggest events of the year for the IT industry. We’re looking forward to meeting some of our clients, and talking to exhibitors about their translation needs.
“We hope to be able to support them, and provide solutions for managing their workflow and increasing their visibility in different markets.
“As a tech-savvy translation company, we can offer advice in line with the latest advancements in content management. If they’re already operating in more than one country, we can help them localise their products and increase returns on investment.”
IT and communications are among our biggest sectors, and we’ve translated more than 7 million words in the last five years. In fact, we have 1141 translators who have specialist knowledge in these areas. This means they’re up to speed on all the latest technical terms, and able to produce high-quality, accurate translations.
Karina said: “There’s a really fascinating program this year. It’s a perfect opportunity to catch up with the latest industry news and find out about developments from around the world.”
InfoSecurity Europe 2012 is at Earl’s Court from Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th April. Hope to see you there!
