The Challenges Of Growing Globally

The challenges of growing globally

According to market research firm eMarketer, by 2018 global retail sales will reach $28.3 trillion.
For most companies growing their business internationally online is an ambition, but deciding the next steps can be challenging.

We are presented with an opportunity for growth in new markets, but also a new set of hurdles. This is where Lingo24 can help.

The Journey to Global

Back in June, we invited business leaders from John Lewis, White Stuff, Carat Media, Lush, PR Newswire and Silver Travel Advisor to join us for our Journey to Global event in London.

journey to global International translation experts were on hand during a dinner with round table discussions addressing the challenges of achieving cross-border growth and how Lingo24’s award winning translation technology and digital marketing solutions could help.

Many attendees found that they were facing the same issues as other businesses. Selling globally can create obstacles when communicating with customers where language and cultural distinctions affect brand voice. Sarah Haskey, from John Lewis, said, ‘I took away that similar or the same challenges are common to all retailers’, and that ‘there is benefit in sharing challenges and information with others’.

Next steps

The event was so successful that we thought it only fair that we give others the opportunity to get involved. Eight days from now we will be holding our second knowledge sharing event, Journey to Global: Accelerating International Growth through Language, at the Charlotte Street Hotel, London.

What can you expect at Journey to Global?

We already have business leaders from finance, e-commerce, advertising and manufacturing attending this event who are looking for solutions and next steps on how to accelerate their international growth, enhance their global image and reduce their ‘Total Cost of Translation’. Why not book your place today to be a part of this exciting evening with them?

Before dinner you will have the chance to network with other guests and hosts and our panel of experts from Lingo24, Contentful and Oban Digital, who have first-hand experience of how others have overcome challenges and successfully launched in new global markets. They will be on hand throughout the evening and will host tables at dinner to offer personalised solutions in a relaxed and informal environment.
Table hosts will rotate during dinner so you get the opportunity to meet as many of them as possible.
At the end of the meal your table hosts will be invited to share the main points of discussion, common challenges and solutions.

The next Journey to Global knowledge sharing event will be happening in London, on 29th September, at the Charlotte Street Hotel.
